ABOUT
The Haroo name came from the noise my beloved dog used to make. When we would go for a run or someone was at the door, he never barked, he only "Harooooed". He was my Newfoundland buddy and my sweet shadow. When he was killed by a minivan going too fast and that dragged him down the street, I fell to my knees and let out a blood-curdling scream. I've never made such a noise since except silently in my nightmares.
HAND CRAFTED
All work from Haroo is written by hand, although the images on the website are AI-created and edited or used from WIX. I found that AI in its infancy did not capture my tone of writing in either my books or screenplays. Screenplays are written by hand in Final Draft software to be in line with industry standards. Books are written in Microsoft word with an Amazon 8x8 book writing template. All illustrations of the Alexia Perplexia series are done by hand and are made of paper and a few craft items like googly-eyes. Who doesn't like a good googly eye captured by InLine app on an iphone?
